The Mind vs. Depersonalization…

“I’m open, really really wide open” – G h o s t…

That’s when I stumbled upon centering or grounding. This written piece may not be for everyone who has or is going through the journey of depersonalization. I came to the conclusion 1 day that not everyone wants to be helped. In addition, the fact of the matter is that many of these mental conditions may pertain to who you were, what your identity was, and what your foundation was before depersonalization or derealization 1st hit. So if you’re spiritual or have a relationship with God through Christ then you’ll understand where I’m coming from.

If you believe in God, then you must acknowledge that “the evil one” does exist. If your are traveling the depersonalization and derealization journey with a spiritual foundation of God, then you most definitely need to understand that in regards to the spiritual realm there is “HE and then there’s “it”. If you’re going through this journey not being connected to God, Christ, or your angels, then I riddle who do you think is running the game”? Exactly! We as believers do understand that “HE that is in us, is greather than he that is in/of “the world”. If you’re not spiritually connected, and you’re not following God consistently in conversation in prayer, then “the evil one” has the capabilities of being greater. You must always ask God to order your steps and guard the avenues of your mind all day, every day when going through these mental conditions.

The most vivid reality and illusion I’ve had when going through this consistent “out of body” experience was that of an unlimited space. Meaning, the mind is capable of stretching so far that you can get lost in your mind or from another perspective you can join and be united with your soul while living in/on this dimension called Earth. That is the only thing that is truly eternal. Your soul has a view ultimately perplexing to the 5 senses. The soul and mind combined is beyond perception and only identifies with the spiritual realm of things associated.

That’s why depersonalization can be so extreme and difficult to deal with. It’s because their is a lack of control of the mind in addition to the fact that your mind has stretched further than what you were taught at the beginning stages of infancy. That’s why for many, it’s ok to be naive or ignorant regarding life. Once you intentionally or unintentionally step outside the bounds that were created for you from a human perspective or cultural perspective, you then delve into a realm, mind, and prism that is not of your own. Identity becomes identical to a reflection of all that the soul, mind, and life encompasses. The more you know and the more wisdom you seek, the wider the mind stretches. Many have said we only use 10% to 14% of our minds. There’s a trusted reason why.

If you never take the time to work on cementing a foundation and centering and grounding your body cavity and flesh, then many can remain lost forever until the flesh including brain(which is different from mind) turns of and is back to dust from which it came.

I only recognize and relate to depersonalization by route of who coined it to be. I have no clue who made up the word depersonalization. “Out of person”, I get that. But, whoever made up the definition of it being just a tired mind. “Whoa, that is far from my truth”! Very far to say the least.

Grounding or centering is not only for people with mental conditions or mental illnesses. It’s for everyone. Why do you think vacations on beaches by water or in the wilderness are so relaxing to humans. I couldn’t tell you the ultimate reason why. But, what I can tell you is that God made us a certain way for a reason. He made us perfect in every way possible. The mind, soul, and body just know what to do by itself in regards to centering. You have no control and don’t need it when it comes to grounding, because the control and path is already designed in what God created for us organically.

So, here are some grounding/centering techniques so that no matter what you’re dealing with in life whether it’s mental or not. These techniques will help you to not be so far lost in your mind where you’re stuck or contemplating the demise of life as we all have from time to time. These techniques will assist in giving your mind and body stimuli to keep you connected to this Earth dimension so that you can still experience all life has to offer and have joy and an inner peace inside. These techniques will allow you to have balance and no fear. You can now get away from it all, even if only for a moment. Then you can face your fears with more comfort and courage knowing that God and your angels are standing all around you and within.

Grounding/centering techniques…
1. Developing a strong & unbreakable relationship with God through the reading of scripture and frequent prayer throughout the day.
2. Walking on trails in the woods
3. Walking by water(ocean, lake, river, stream)
4. Exercise(walking, running, bike, skateboarding, strength training)
5. Be active (Go out to eat, restaurants, museums, concerts, etc…)
6. Be present tense (Use all 5 senses individually throughout each day) Present tense allows you to define what’s real and what’s not real regarding being here on earth. Touch things constantly throughout the day and say it aloud, hear things and say it aloud, smell things and say it aloud, taste things and say it aloud. Make a new reality.
7 . Pursue new hobbies and passions. Redefine your new present tense daily. Gravitate and go toward things that make you feel happy, relaxed, and peaceful inside. Go toward things that take your mind off of things for awhile.
8. Touch yourself (touch your face, legs, arms, ears, lips, stretch, etc…) Touching can help put you back into your body. It can help to not feel so out of your body especially when things feel very vivid and intense. The more you do it, the easier and quicker you’ll be able to connect to yourself and your surroundings.
9. Have a pet(dogs, cats help out tremendously with depersonalization and derealization). Especially, dogs because you can walk them and explore life with them.
10. Chew gum(had to throw this in there). Yes, it helps tremendously.

Although, you will go back to the “out of body” and “unreal world” state at times. You will get stronger and be able to cope/deal with what’s going on. Depersonalization may or may not ever leave. But, life is still able to be enjoyed. Like I always say, “1 foot in heaven, 1 foot on earth”. Take care
