“Mental Health & Purpose”.

An old man said that his purpose was to watch the sunset every evening“…

Before going into the stage of depersonalization, there was derealization and depression. Life was just dark at that moment and there wasn’t much room for definition. Time had no definition, words and letters had no definition, and neither did the days of the week. Everything was unreal and I was extremely disconnected. At some point I was just standing there with my lungs pushing air in and out by itself and I can assure you death was next, right around the corner.

“This 100 year old man said that his purpose was to watch the sunset every evening”. Now, that’s what I call purpose. He has his values and existence set on something that neither fades, rots, dies, or causes pain. Nothing can destroy his purpose. I find purpose in water, trees, and my relationship with God. I love to help people with mental conditions, relationships, and life’s trials in general. Find your purpose and set it high. So high that nobody can take it away from you. That my friend is where your treasure will lie.
